Proud of the Jazz. Good job as always by the second unit defense, and Dermarre is hitting some shots.

Good call on DC getting the match-up now - he is almost holding even with KD, which 95% of other forwards in the league can't do. Yes, KD is doing KD, but on the other end of the floor DC is matching on buckets for the moment.

i think you and I were the only ones to call a Jazz W but I think we did it for different reasons. I think the Jazz are one of the more headcase teams in the league, showing games like tonight and other times rising to the occasion and effort and the next night they can shit the bed against the Bobcats - I was just going with my Bipolar theory. I predict they will be bipolar the rest of the season and it will come down to the last week, just like last year, to see if they slip in to the 8th spot. And, no one will fear them in that match-up - Jazz can't win on the road.

They will be crushed by either if in fact they make the cut. A team can't expect to start suddenly being competitive on the road in the playoffs, where they will be if they get in, when they haven't shown they can do that in the regular season. It just works that way. The Jazz irrefutably suck as a road team. It is a mental thing and they don't have a road win killer instinct t and it won't suddenly happen hoping otherwise. Plus, SA and OKC actually have a second gear, the playoff gear, that the Jazz don't. Jazz will be on all cylinders if and when they get there, they haven't shown they are remotely a team to fear in a 7-game series - even with the Bobcats.

Few years back put money on the eight seed GSW to beat Mavs because they had their # Won few hundred when they put out the first seed Mavs. Not saying jazz would put out OKC but i think the odds would be better then another year head to head with the spurs. While they are bad on the road, they don't suck THAT bad, there are only 4 teams in the west with a winning road record, and the Jazz are pretty much in the middle of the conference and the league in winning on the road.

Also, don't rule out the possibility of a 6th seed and an infinitely more winnable matchup with the Clippers or Grizzlies (or maybe even Denver). Golden State is sliding fast and is now a mere 1.5 games ahead of the Jazz in 6th place, and we get to play them at home right after the all star break.

I think it is going to be a dog fight between us, GS, Houston, and LA for the last 3 spots in the west, adn we've got as good a shot as any of them at coming out on top.
