http://www.deseretnews.com/article/765602162/Utah-Jazz-Michael-Sanders-promoted-to-assistant-coach-Brad-Jones-hired-as-assistant-coachplayer.htmlI guess Sanders was a player Development coach last year, and now will be taking over for Layden.
Former Utah Flash coach, and current (I guess former now) coach of the reigning D-League champion (and San Antonio Spurs owned and run) Austin Toros, Brad Jones will take over Sanders old position.
Don't know much about Sanders or what he did for the Jazz last year, but the players appear to be developing so perhaps he was a part of that. The article says he did a lot of work with the bigs last year.
I've heard some good things about Jones, and he's been very successful in the D-League.
Interesting that the Spurs and Jazz seem to just be swapping personnel this summer. Guess it shouldn't be surprising, they are widely regarded as two of the best run franchises in the NBA, and they exercise similar philosophies to consistently compete in spite of being in two of the smallest markets in the NBA.
