This game is going to be toughest from all road games. Philly is just a very well coached, solid but in a way strange team. Crazy good team defense and very balanced scoring. They like to go small - will be interesting if Corbin will try to matchup with that or he will counter by going big. They are mainly jumpshooting team but they do it well. I totaly expect it to be slugfest and neither team will even score 90 pts. Phily by 10, Jazz with better FT.

| Jazz by 7. Philly with better FT%.
Note that I have given you loosers a BIIIG head start in this GTS competition...which doesn't matter because I've come to the conclusion that I suck at this. But only based on, like, evidence and shit.
Jazz need to start using their size advantage to win games. Concentrate on offensive boards more and let our wings deal with any quick outlet passes. Sometimes our bigs are just floating back, conceding the offensive boards, we need to stay under there and battle for cheap putbacks. If we give up a fast break once in a while as result, I still think we'll come out ahead.
ALSO, using the size advantage of a 6'8" SG requires the PG and other players to FREAKING LOOK FOR HIM! Hayward isn't going to back Jason Terry down, he's going to flash to the basket and score over him, but every time he gets clear for that kind of score, he either gets the ball late or about 5 seconds later somebody says "Oh, Gordo was open there wasn't he?". We're not taking advantage.
ALSOPLUS, that was a classic Devin Harris move at the end of the Boston game wasn't it? Not a good flashback, and Al would've had a gimme on the handoff. Ugh.
ALSOPLUSTOO, I think MarvWill is more of a Gordon Hayward-type player than I ever would have thought.
But I think we're improving, slowly.

Letting Iggy go because they had a replacement in Evan Turner was a miscalculation...and adding Nick Young would work IF they could combine him with Turner (player who does EVERYTHING but score+player who does NOTHING but score=Good Player). They are weak up front...though perhaps the move from LaVoy Allen to Arnett Moultrie will...no, I can't even say it. THe Jazz should win this one up front. Of course, just because that's logical doesn't mean it will happen.

Of course, just because that's logical doesn't mean it will happen. Maybe we should hire Jon Barry as our coach? He was spot on and making fun of Corbin's poor coaching decisions all night. Philly was weak upfront, they shot only 10FT, but won and outrebounded us as well. Must be coaching... Jazz are just not looking good with all these new players, we turned into jumper jacking team. Where we are in assists now? 15th in all NBA? Not a Jazz basketball I must say.

I'm starting to feel a bit of that myself, and while I won't hesitate to do some armchair coaching, I'm going to try and withhold overall judgement on Ty until the sample size is a bit larger. It's no easy task making so many new guys, along with so many young guys, really come together in a cohesive unit, if it does happen it will take some time.
