| Detroit by 5 big AL. Drummond vs Favors/Kanter will be interesting. Monroe is looking like he could be big AL clone but just with much better IQ and passing. I see him becoming one of the best centers in all NBA in another couple years. | |

| Jazz were lucky to survive. Once the Jazz got it going toward the end of the 4th, they had a good group in, and Ty took out Burks etc and then here comes the comeback. Gordo/Paul/Foye/Fav/Burks pushes it to 13 on Burks sweet dunk, with 3mins left......and then yanks Favs and Burks out, puts in Al and Watson....what the F ????!!! Worst part is, they then scored 6 straight pts, no timeout, then 8 straight, having trouble getting the ball in every time, still no timeout, then 10 straight, no timeout, THEN 12 STRAIGHT PTS to bring it to within 2pts!!! Oh THENNNN theres a timeout!!!??? Seriously???!!! What game is Ty watching?????
Then, whatever play was drawn up, was not received well at all it seems. Hayward was stuck up top screaming for someone to come set their pick, finally does, and Jazz were bailed out by a wicked pass from Gordo to Paul underneath and thankfully he got fouled.
4secs left Jazz up 3, Ty doesn't tell his guys to just foul if they get the opportunity??? Austin Daye gets the ball up at the top of the key, just standing with it looking to pass....Ty doesn't tell his guys to foul THEN???!! Jesus.....
Jazz were lucky, but just as well should have lost it. Some is guessing, but seems fairly obvious here..... I've got little to no faith left in Corbin. Every time something starts working, we dig out of a hole, he goes back to what wasn't working. Unreal.

Your savior Burks added 3 fouls and scored 5 whole points, all of nice dishes from Jefferson and then Hayward. I also liked how stupid Corbin chose not to go with a shot chucker who had 4 fouls to go with more turn overs than assists. Burks is nice energy when the offense gets stagnant and when a big lineup counters a guard who can't steal well from lesser ball handlers like Burks. He hasn't done anything to prove worthy of significant or finishing minutes though.

Burks is nice energy when the offense gets stagnant and when a big lineup counters a guard who can't steal well from lesser ball handlers like Burks. He hasn't done anything to prove worthy of significant or finishing minutes though. My savior? Burks? No. But he is a guy who can play on both ends of the court, unlike Watson and Foye. And that is the reason that Bynum ALONE went off at the end of the 4th and almost got the victory for them. Hayward? Yea, thats what I said: he was great. And guess what happened when Burks went out? Offense went stagnant. Pistons went on a 12-0 run. As soon as Burks and Fav went out. Because not only did the defense go, but the ability to get to the hole, try and breakdown the defense or get fouled, was gone. Just standing around..... And against that team last night, he absolutely was the right guy, verses Watson. Fav too, over Al too. No good teams just try to outscore the other, they defend them. Lastly, just look at the +/- for Al, Watson, Tinsley and compare it to Fav and Burks. THAT, is why Corbin is killing this team right now.

He hasn't done anything to prove worthy of significant or finishing minutes though. Professo if you have any basketball smarts at all you could see that Burks is a player that needs a lot more playing time for the Jazz, a player can't improve his game without getting playing time in real game time situation's. The thing is the Jazz are never going to win a championship with the players they have now that's for sure and they have to start bringing these young guns along sooner or latter and I think the sooner they start doing this the better the Jazz will be in time.

I actually mostly agree with the Professo on this one, Burks is pretty much all potential right now, and I don't think how much he plays really changes his developmental path. Watson shouldn't be playing, but I thought Corbin coached a decent game and the Jazz got a win.
