4 Jazzmen in double figures. I gotta change my pick. At home, with Memphis tired, and Millsap playing, I'm going: Memphis by 13 Jazz with 5 players in double figures.

Memphis by 13 Jazz with 5 players in double figures. Yes! Hayhey is starting! Better spacing for us! I like the try. This will put a lot more pressure on our bench, but, we can do it. More pressure on their starters shouldn't hurt because (IMO) Memphis doesn't have a bench as good as ours! (I won't change my pick, but I kinda want to go back to my earlier pick). I want us to win, but, I'm not predicting it.

Jazz won by 6. 5 players scored double digits. I like having Gordon in with the starters. I think is a must if Flash was to reach allstar level has to be starting on his own team. All the starters played with more energy.

| Going back to the Memphis game for a second ....Anyone have an opinion on the Gasol "Shoe foul"?
In case you didn't see it, Favors stepped on the back of Gasol's shoe while running down the court (AKA "flat tire") and Marc's shoe came off. Gasol got the shoe back, ran down the court & tried to defend Favors in the post with the shoe still in his hand. Favors made a quick move, and Gasol, playing in one sock couldn't stay with him. Gasol spun around & hit Favors in the arm with the shoe. The refs called a regular foul.
I'm wondering ... is it ok to hit a player with an object now (other than a regular foul)? Gasol was visibly upset & must have thought that Favors should have been called for stepping on his heel, cause you could tell by the look on Marc's face that he knew exactly what he was doing when he flung that shoe at Favors. I guess I was a bit suprised that nothing extra was called. Seemed like an easy T to me.

Well he WAS going for the ball, and on the replay it didn't look like the shoe actually hit Favors, so what does he get the T for? Illegal use of a foreign object? Improper use of Equipment? Hurling Arabic insults? I don't know, just seemed like one of those strange/funny plays that you chalk up to an NBA season that is too long and to compact at the same time, I didn't really think much more of it than that.

Fair enough. I'm just thinking that if you have a foreign object in your hand (for whatever reason) and you purposely swing at/hit someone with it, that appears to be grounds for a little more than a personal foul. I'm not worked up about it, I just thought it was in peculiar decision by the refs not to do more. ... and yes, if he was hurling Arabic insults, that would justify a T.

I'm messing with you, I'm sure the best NBA trash talkers can hurl insults in multiple dialects and cultural sensitivities without retribution...as long as they aren't Carmelo Anthony.

| If I was ref, I'd T up Carmelo at the beginning of every game.
Melo: T?? What for?? Me: Fat face.
And I would have T'd up Sam Cassel for "homely".
Not even mentioning the Ts I'd give for "Played at Duke", "Zit back", "Delay of shaving", "I heard your rap song" and "You let your brother-in-law give you that tat, didn't you?".
