Olympics/Predictions Empty
PostSubject: Olympics/Predictions   Olympics/Predictions EmptyThu Jul 26, 2012 4:58 pm

Anyone going to follow or watch the Olympics, in particular basketball? I think there is some good basketball to watch here, obviously it's still a US dominated sport but not nearly the annihilation it used to be as the world can present some tough challenges to the US.

Spain - Gasol brothers, Rudy, Calderon, Ibaka
Argentina - Ginobli, Noncioni, Delfino, Scola, Leiva
Brazil - Nene, Varejao, Splitter, Barbosa, Splitter
France - Batum, Parker, Diaw, Noah, Turiaf
Russia - Monya, Kirilenko

I think if you put any of these teams together you get a playoff team in the NBA, good talent. I'm excited to watch some basketball other than summer league.

My medal predictions:

Gold: USA - Still the best talent and players in the world
Silver: Spain - Half of the players play are in the nba
Bronze: Brazil - Size advantage, great PG play

A thread to keep us talking bball since it's about this time a year where Jazz talk really slows down.. Smile

I think they have the talent in the front court to cause USA some problems. I don't like the way this team was constructed.

May not be as good as the 92 DT but still good enough to win GOLD!
