This one, however, seems to have legs under it.
The former Utah Jazz coach has met with the Milwaukee Bucks and "is being seriously considered" for that franchise's head coaching vacancy, according to USA Today.
The report also claimed that a reunion between Sloan and Deron Williams in Brooklyn "is not on the horizon. Of this planet. Or the moons' horizon. Or the horizons on any of the recently-discovered earth0like planets."
http://www.deseretnews.com/article/865579959/Report-Former-Utah-Jazz-coach-Jerry-Sloan-meets-with-Milwaukee-about-coaching-job.html I'd like to see Sloan come back into the league with a small market team that has a lot of young talent, a trustworthy front office and loyal fans. That would be about perfect for him...

| Looks like Sloan turned down the Bucks... http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/9285284/jerry-sloan-not-interested-milwaukee-bucks-job-agentI get the feeling that Sloan would rather pull a Phil Jackson and walk into a veteran team loaded with talent than go to a team that needs a rebuild like the Bucks. You know what would be the perfect fit for him and his systems? The Clippers. If you combine Jerry Sloan and that roster you have the leagues #1 offensive team by the end of next year, freaking unstoppable. I know he said he wants small market and all that, but I think what he wants more is a team with veteran leadership that can contend. Lucky for the league the Clippers are stupid. | |

Whoa, never thought of that, but so true. Sloan would whip that team into sumpin fierce. Dumb Clips, thank god.

| Wow- Vinny down the road and no mention of Sloan as a candidate. Apparently CP3 is calling the shots. Gotta love an organization as historically mismanaged as the Clippers suddenly letting players call the FO moves. This makes me assume CP3 has committed to the Clips - otherwise, who cares who he likes or doesn't? Bet McMillan gets the reigns... | |

I believe that I read that Sloan does some consultant work for the Jazz.

| Anyone for Sloan returning to the Jazz, and talking Ty back into an Assistant Coach position? | |

I would love this for so many reasons. But, most enjoyable would be Sloan taking technical fouls left and right, getting ejected from games, losing half his salary in fines, while allowing Ty more experience coaching as both an assistant and head coach!
