Anyone else that watched the US/Nigeria game think they were pretty disrespectful by chucking so many threes even with a HUGE lead?

The entire team was rediculously hot from deep, but they probably should have stopped taking those shots and slowed the game down IMO.

I didn't see it, but the commentators sure have been talking up Carmelo Anthony's record breaking performance this morning --- 37 points in 14:29 minutes. I am kinda going "bleh, Carmelo Anthony shooting against Nigera --- big deal". Seems like Carmelo gets a disproportionate amount of press over the years as if he is all time great, but most of the time he doesn't get his teams very far in the playoffs. It wasn't too long ago that a shorthanded Jazz team knocked Carmelo and Denver out of the playoffs. I also didn't like the way he recently ridiculed the contract offer made to Jeremy Lin. Even if Carmelo had a valid point that it was an outlandish offer, it doesn't seem to me that players should be going to the press and ridiculing offers made to other players.

5 point US win today against the first real team they've played so far.

Maybe they'll have to rethink the 3point chucking, weak interior defense, all iso baskeball they're playing out there now.

Russia beats Spain today a very big upset AK playing well with this group of guys, in the last game they played they hit a 3 point shot with 6 seconds on the clock to win the game pretty impressive basketball these guys are playing.
