We've all weighed in on what we think the W-L and standings will show at the end of the coming season. I thought it would be fun to rub the crystal ball and predict what turn out to be the most pleasing surprise, be that player or system tweak plus what is the most disappointing development that we didn't see coming from our view of today.
Most Pleasant Surprise:
DeMarre Carol becoming AK-light, an all around utility gadget who's intangibles become vital glue in the Jazz's rotation and the very cheap extension he signs. Second runner-up: Burks actually has a positive impact playing PG, opening all sorts of excellent mix and match opportunities on the wings for Corbin.
Most Unpleasant Surprise:
The Jazz do not solve their road woes; inexplicably dropping very winnable games against lesser teams and has to fight for the 7 or 8 seed. Runner-up: Ty does not find a way for Evans to get the floor time he needs to become an impact player off the bench.
